Anyways I can't believe another week has gone by....I have officially been here for a transfer. For those of you that don't understand what that means...missions are broken into 6 week periods that are called transfers, and at transfers are when people get moved to new areas. Since I'm still training my companion and I are staying, but 3 of the Elders in our ward got transferred and we found out that they are combing the elders area into one and after the transfer meeting only two new ones are coming back, so they will be in whats called a trio or a 3 pack. Lots of new changes going on:)
Also Sister Hendrix and I did something crazy....that we are very excited about but will probably regret it in the near future....we asked our mission president for bikes... I KNOW I cant believe it either! We are crazy. But we want them so we can of course stay in shape...and two so we can save some miles to go out to further places in our areas we haven't been able to be in. So we will see if we get them or not:)
We have also been working with our neighbor named Margaret who has now been alcohol and cigarette free for almost 2 weeks. She said she had a voice in her head tell her to give it up and throw it out, and she did. Since then we have been meeting with her and she's been coming to church and doing so well. Its amazing to see peoples whole appearance change as they break free from the bondage Satan has on them like drinking and smoking. She looks like a different person just glowing with that light of Christ.
We have had the craziest days this week...some full of rejections and horrible voice mails telling us to never come back or they will call the cops...to amazing experiences like attending another baptism last weekend. It just all goes to show how true the gospel is.
Sometimes Satan's greatest tool is not to get us to commit a serious sin, but rather let us think to ourselves that we are content with our life and we need nothing more. When in all reality it is because we haven't experienced what more feels like. The gospel of Jesus Christ is where we find that more! I hear so many people tell me they didn't realize what was missing in their lives til they started reading the book of Mormon.the gospel is where we can find true and full happiness. It is a pathway that leads us back to our Heavenly Father. The Bible is great and teaches amazing principles, but its not complete without the Book of Mormon. They compliment each other. In 2 Corinthians it says that God will teach his people by two witnesses. I know that the Bible and the Book of Mormon are those two witnesses that are talked about in the Bible. What a blessing it is to have them both. May we take advantage of the things Heavenly Father has given us to make it through this life. I invite all of you to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know for yourself whether it be the word of God or not. I promise you that as you read its words there is no denying it is true. I have found that out for myself and know that it is the key to true happiness.
I love you all and hope everything is going well!
